The Division of Laboratory Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic is recruiting a full-time academic professional (MD, DO, or PhD with clinical certification) with subspecialty expertise in Clinical Biochemistry to serve as the Section Head of Clinical Biochemistry. The successful candidate will join a group of five full-time subspecialty medical directors and two clinical development scientists.

The Section Head is a key leadership position, providing direction and strategic planning in collaborative consultation with the section's members and in alignment with the leadership of the Laboratory Medicine Division and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The person in this role uses strong interpersonal and serving leadership skills to support team members, clinicians, residents and fellows and the leadership teams to advance patient care and Cleveland Clinic's mission. A minimum of 5-years' experience is required.

The Clinical Biochemistry section provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and consultative services for the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS) and is the central laboratory in Northeast Ohio. The section has three main laboratories: automated chemistry, special chemistry & biochemical genetics, and immunopathology. We offer ample opportunities for clinical and translational research, innovation, and teaching students, residents, fellows, and allied health staff.
