As the Medical Operations Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Vice President of Global Operations and Medical Excellence in driving major initiatives to enhance our practices related to Global Medical Affairs. This role requires a seasoned professional with hands-on experience in managing strategic and tactical projects, ensuring seamless integration of processes and information within Global Medical Affairs in collaboration with cross-functional matrix teams.

You will execute critical initiatives across the Medical Affairs capabilities and address business needs in process improvement, project management, technology solutions, and change management. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is key to ensuring effective planning and execution of Medical Affairs activities.Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional matrix teams, including but not limited to HQ Medical, Clinical Medicine, Field Medical, HEOR, Dx.

Strategy, Compliance, Legal, IT and External Vendors, to execute programs, projects, and support activities aligned with business objectives.Lead and execute multiple projects spanning different Medical functions, which may include medical planning and tracking of activities to show impact of execution, survey/insights collection and review process, SOPs, Congress Management, Medical Product Team meeting planning, day-to-day operations, etc. Apply project management best practices in the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closing of projects.

Maintain program-specific timelines and deliverables, including critical program, financial (budgets), and communication milestones.Work with IT to improve technology used by Medical Affairs, such as utilization of Veeva technology.Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective planning, communications, and meetings, plus leading ad-hoc strategic projects to ensure complete integration of processes and information.

In collaboration with Administrative Assistant, establish and maintain the annual calendar of key medical meetings.Qualifications and Skills:BS/BA in the life sciences or in a related field; an advanced degree (eg., MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD) is advantageous; with 5+ years professional experience supporting Projects/Activities within the Pharmaceutical Industry, or similar relevant experience.

Requires and in depth knowledge of Medical Affairs organizations and activities including related operating processes, policies, procedures and regulations. Proven experience in project management, including prioritization, risk management, cost control, adherence to timelines, and team management.Ability to pivot from one project to another unrelated project.

Strong business acumen with demonstrated leadership abilities and decision-making skills.Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively communicate complex information.Strategic thinking coupled with the ability to deliver tactically across local and cross-functional teams.

Comfortable managing multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with limited direction.Proficient in building relationships across functions and geographies.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a diplomatic approach and excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to articulate and present complex information clearly and concisely across all levels.

Demonstrated exceptional MS Office skills - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, SharePoint and TeamsPrevious experience with full business oversight and management is desirable (ie,RFPs, contracting, budgeting, system development, project management) of various Medical Affairs programs (eg, early access programs, advisory boards, publications, educational and research grants/programs, sponsorships).Compensation:Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
