Job Requirements

The Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Eglin AFB,FL. The Psychologist will provide direct patient contact including, but not limited to: case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidenced based treatments for serious mental illness. The Psychologist will perform evaluations for patients with a variety of psychological disorders.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.(subject to change based on the need of the agency)

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
  • Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
  • Education or experience with providing care to individuals with Serious Mental Illness (Preferred)
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans.
