Staff Software Engineer to strengthen our agile cloud back-end team. We value rigorous testing at all levels to ensure our craft is at its highest standard. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of our technology stack, including Golang, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redshift, NATS, MQTT protocol, REST API, gRPC, protobuf, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ArgoCD, AWS, and Istio.

You should possess a passion for coding, enjoy tackling complex problems, and thrive on new challenges.Responsibilities:Develop, design, and implement robust back-end architecture using our technology stack including Golang, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redshift, NATS, MQTT protocol, REST API, gRPC, protobuf, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ArgoCD, AWS, and Istio.Optimize existing back-end systems for top performance and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to align strategies and meet business objectives.Develop frameworks, services, and the necessary tooling to help other engineers build on topEvangelize good code and solid engineering practicesCollaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problemsContribute high-quality, maintainable code during code reviews.Employ rigorous testing protocols at all levels to ensure software quality and reliability.

Lead the development of innovative IoT communication strategies.Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years' experience in software development.Proficiency with Golang, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redshift, NATS, MQTT protocol, REST API, gRPC, protobuf, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ArgoCD, AWS, and Istio.Expertise in vehicle-to-cloud, mobile-to-cloud, and IoT communications.

Expertise with Cloud Native Platforms including Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker, or Cloud Foundry in the public cloudExpertise with Containers and/or Serverless, Microservices, Functions, Event-driven/reactive programming or other Cloud Native architecturesExpertise deploying systems into a production Cloud Native EnvironmentExpertise with DevOps and Agile engineering practicesExpertise building scalable, highly available service-oriented architectures.Proven experience in an Agile development environment, with a focus on continuous integration, automated testing, and agile development practices.Proven ability to solve complex software development issues.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
